New recordings coming up

Shawn and the gang will be heading for the recording studio in early May. Shawn has chosen to go back to one of his favourite studios and producers, John David at Berryhill Studios, to lay down a mixture of original songs and covers that will be a great representation of the bands repertoire. Watch this space for more info!

Gigs cancelled

Due to ill health, the band is pulling most of its gigs until further notice. Shawn has chronic bronchitis so will be taking some months out to get well again.
In the meantime, keep in touch on Facebook etc. and enjoy listening to the band online.
The band will take this break to start working on a new album and then it will be full speed ahead again next year.

Americana International 2012 - A review by Tony Wilkinson at the Rockabilly Hall of Fame

Friday, 6th July 2012 ( the festival really happens)
First acts that we caught were British outfits The Roseville Rockers and Shawn Harvey & B-57. The first mentioned was a more than capable rockabilly outfit whilst Shawn and company certainly knew how to play rock 'n' roll music - albeit with a contemporary edge on some tunes but this only served to enhance the rockin' feel. Certainly a band to watch out for and I hope to see them again.

Americana International 2012
The Americana 2012 was a complete success for the B-57s. Despite the serious rain, the band played to a happy crowd on the great Alpha stage. Photos and videos will be uploaded shortly. Redemption guitar is ready for action
Shawn is now the proud owner of his very own Redemption guitar. Built to his own design and specs, the guitar has three pickups, contoured body, vintage tuners and a Düsenberg tremelo. It has a great vintage sound, warm and full like a genuine 50s guitar. With its black sparkle finish and yellow perloid scratch plate it is a real looker. Shawn is over the moon with it. A great big thank you to Dan from Redemption guitars!!!

The band appeared live on Spjek mit Eier breakfast TV in Melick, near Roermond, Netherlands. A fun day was had by all!

Shawn endorses Redemption Guitars
Shawn is the new endorsee of Redemption Guitars, a great guitar maker from Germany. All guitars are hand-built to the very highest standards and are made from exclusive woods and materials. Every guitar is a real one-off masterpiece!
Dan, the master himself, is building Shawn his very own Tele-style guitar, made to Shawn's own design and technical specs in the colours of the B-57s!

America is almost here

The year certainly is rolling round! The band has already played some great gigs and it's just over a month now until the guys hit the stage at the Americana festival in Newark, UK. A great gig, great line-up, great American cars. Come along this year and don't miss this fun-packed weekender. The B-57s now have their very own personal model: Nina Holy.
Nina will be modelling the band's merchandise and feature on the next album cover.

Shawn on TV in Ireland
On 23 November 2011, Shawn appeared on the Irish Connection, a Country TV show in Belfast with Sean Green. He performed an acoustic spot and gave an interview.

Shawn Harvey & B-57 on CityVision
On 15 November 2011, the B-57s appeared on the Backstage programme of CityVision Moenchengladbach.
The band had a lot of fund doing the show and is looking forward to more TVs in the future.
